Ken'ichi Sugano ( Japanese 菅 野 賢 一 , Sugano Ken'ichi ; born August 8, 1971 in Mie Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Sugano learned to play soccer on the school team at Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School and the university team at Chūō University . He signed his first contract with Kashiwa Reysol in 1994 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . In 1994 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and rose to the J1 League . For the club he completed 37 games. In 1997 he moved to the second division side Kawasaki Frontale . For the club he completed 12 games. In 2000 he moved to league rivals Mito Hollyhock . For the club he completed 35 games. He then played for Gunma FC Horikoshi . At the end of 2004 he ended his career as a soccer player.
