Ken Allen

Ken Allen (born 1955 ) is a member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Post AG . He is responsible for the electronic trading and international parcel business. Allen is a UK citizen.

Life and professional history

Allen worked for several UK manufacturing companies from 1972 to 1982 and graduated from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1982 . From 1982 he worked in the hotel industry. In 1985 he moved to DHL Express and worked for the DHL Express Middle East division until 2004. From 2004 to 2006 he headed DHL Express Canada and then became CEO for the regions Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2008, Allen was appointed CEO of DHL Express USA. After corporate losses, Allen was appointed global CEO of DHL Express in 2009 and was appointed to the board of Deutsche Post AG. In September 2018 he took over the newly created Electronic Commerce and International Parcel Business division.

The Reuters news agency has calculated that Allen received more than 6.4 million euros in management compensation in 2017.

In 2018, Allen presented the DHL Fastest Lap Award to Valtteri Bottas .
