Kenda Rubber Industrial Company is a Taiwanese pneumatic tire manufacturer headquartered in Yuan-Lin .

history

The company has been producing tires for wheelchairs, bicycles and motorcycles, trailers, cars and industrial applications in Taiwan, China and Vietnam since 1962 .

In 2010 the company was ranked 27th among tire manufacturers worldwide. In 2011, the 50 percent stake worth US $ 200 million that the company had since 2003 in the joint venture with the "Cooper Tire & Rubber Company" was sold.

Innovations

K299 Bearclaw

The tire presented in 1994 is the first ATV tire with a six-layer carcass for the heaviest applications.

K500

In 1996 the K500 was developed with a four-layer carcass. It offers improved traction and longer profile durability when maintaining green spaces.

K399

The flat profile trailer tire developed in 1998 is based on the metric system. The tread design allows better stability when towing and reduces rolling resistance.

K771 Millville

In 2001, Kenda launched its first motorcross / off-road tire. It is the first tire with the Sticky Rave compound, which offers higher traction.

K389 Hole-N-1

A revision in 1996 resulted in an improvement in the Kenda Golf tires. The Hole-N-1 has been designed with a design that prevents damage to the sward.

K1010 Nevegal

With the help of mountain bike legend John Tomac, Kenda developed the Nevegal in 2002. Its rubber compound "Stick-E" allows many areas of application. It is still one of the top tires for professional MTB riders and the industry. His profile was named "Best Tire" by Mountain Bike Action Magazine three years in a row.
