Zohre Esmaeli

On November 5, 2011, Zohre Esmaeli will present Afghan fashion during the “Afghan Night” in Bad Kreuznach at the invitation of the “Afghanistan - Help that Arrives” association.

Zohre Esmaeli (* 1985 in Kabul ) is an Afghan model living in Berlin .

biography

Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Esmaeli fled to Germany with her family from Afghanistan in 1999. She first lived in Kassel and attended school there.

She was discovered as a model by the then Miss Hessen in a fashion store, which she referred to a photographer.

When she was eighteen, she had pictures taken and worked with a modeling agency. In addition to fashion series with Vogue and Cosmopolitan , as well as other well-known fashion magazines, she is often in New York and other fashion capitals.

Since 2017 Esmaeli has been the face of the location campaign of the Federal Government of Germany - Land of Ideas .

social commitment

Esmaeli supports the association Afghanistan - Hilfe die Ankommen eV in Bad Kreuznach . She is an ambassador for the non-profit organization 'Save Society', which she co-founded. In November 2015 Zohre Esmaeli presented her own project 'Culture Coaches', which aims at the permanent integration of refugees and is supported by the Berlin Community Foundation . With the help of the community foundation she founded the Zohre Esmaeli Foundation . In order to actively help “children in need”, she designed a buddy bear herself , which was auctioned off at a large charity event for the benefit of her foundation.

In 2014 Esmaeli was appointed ambassador for the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency .
