Kendric is a four-piece German rock band . It was founded in Hamburg around 2000 . The musical style is influenced by bands like Oasis or Travis .

Career

After the band was founded, the original five musicians pursued the goal of composing melodic rock music. In the following years more than 50 own songs were written. However, commercial success failed to materialize. At the beginning of 2007 the musicians let the band rest and began to pursue other professional goals. Ken Dillon, guitarist and second vocalist of the band, moved to Australia in the summer of 2007 for personal reasons.

Shortly afterwards, the producer of the band Kay Nickold received the request to write the music for a television campaign for the discount chain Lidl . Nickold went back to the song The Little Things , which had been recorded by Kendric years before, and was popular with the advertising people. After the campaign was launched in summer 2008, the song was released as a single at the end of November 2008 and hit the German sales charts.
