Sawai Ken'ichi
Sawai Ken'ichi ( Japanese 澤 井 健 一 ; * 1903 in Fukuoka Prefecture , Japan ; † 1988 ) was a Japanese martial arts expert, a student of Wang Xiangzhai and the founder of Taiki-Ken . He possessed the 5th Dan Judo and the 4th Dan in Kendō and Iaidō .
Sawai's well-known students included Richard Kim (founder of Shorinji ryu ) and Ōyama Masutatsu (founder of Kyokushinkai karate).
