Kenmet Knmt Leopard |
Kenmet is a god of the dead documented in the Old Kingdom . Most of the little information comes from the pyramid texts .
In the embalming hall of the gods, Kenmet is said to keep away the divine baboon , which terrifies the gods . From this position to each other (constellation) fights between Kenmet and the baboon arise again and again, whereby both have the ability to kill each other.
Against this mythological background, it is assumed that the panther skin represents the protective character associated with it as a cult function of the Sem priest .
