Kennie Asuncion

Kennie Chua Asuncion (born October 14, 1976 ) is a Filipino badminton player.

Career

Kennie Asuncion is active in both singles and doubles, but has so far achieved her greatest success in mixed with her brother Kennevic Asuncion . Both qualified for the Asian Championships in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2009, but could never advance into medal regions. They were more successful at the Peru International 2005, the Ballarat International 2006 and the Babolat North Harbor International 2006, each of which they were able to make victorious. At the Philippines Open 2006 they were in the final, at the US Open 2007, the Vietnam Open 2006 and the Canada Open 2002 in the semifinals.

In 2005 she won the Philippine championship in women's doubles together with Paula Obanana .
