Kenny was a British pop rock - band , with catchy 1974-1976 glam rock was successful -Liedern.
history
The group originally played progressive rock as the North London up-and-coming band "Chuff" before they were discovered by songwriters Bill Martin and Phil Coulter , who were just very successful with songs for the Bay City Rollers . At first, the band members weren't keen on changing their musical style to shallow teenage pop, but then quickly gave in. However, the previous singer Ross Prinle had to be replaced because his hippiesque appearance did not match the desired image as a contemporary teen idol .
However, after initial successes, including The Bump (1974) and Fancy Pants (1975), the band's popularity declined in 1976. Kenny forced a court decision to break away from the previous record company RAK Records in order to switch to the German Polydor . However, this did not bring any significant success either. When Yan Style suffered a paralyzed arm in a motorcycle accident, the decision to disband the group was made shortly thereafter.
