The Kensington Technology Group is the technology division of the ACCO group . The company's headquarters are in Redwood Shores , a district of Redwood City in California . The German branch is in Schorndorf .

Products

Kensington Technology Group sells computer accessories and peripherals such as mice , keyboards , notebook cases and consumer electronics ( iPod , MP3 players ), power supplies and anti-theft systems for computers and electronic devices. The range also includes iPad accessories, such as the KeyFolio Expert tablet case with an integrated Bluetooth keyboard. The use of the accessories is aimed at both fixed and mobile workplaces. The best-known product is the Kensington Lock , a lightweight lock system for notebooks and peripheral devices that is now sold under the name MicroSaver®.

Company history

The Kensington company was founded in 1981. The first product was the so-called “System Saver”, which offered a fan and a line filter for the Apple II and sold very well. Today Kensington is the market leader in the field of locking systems for computer security solutions and offers a range of individual locking systems that offer a multitude of options for securing IT devices such as notebooks , desktops , projectors , TFTs and external hard drives.
