Redwood Shores
Redwood Shores is a district of the US city of Redwood City .
Redwood Shores was established in the 1960s on replenished marshland in San Francisco Bay and consists mainly of residential areas. To the south is the small airport of San Carlos .
From the 1960s to the 1980s, Redwood Shores was the headquarters of Marine World Africa USA, where, among other things, the outdoor shots for the television series Daktari were filmed. After Marine World moved to Vallejo in 1986, the Oracle Corporation established its corporate headquarters on the site. Redwood Shores is also home to Electronic Arts and the Provident Credit Union.
Many private equity and venture capital firms have continued to set up shop in recent years . These include the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation from Singapore and the companies EDB (Economic Development Board) and TIF , as well as the venture capital companies Gabriel Venture Partner , Rustic Canyon Partners and Woodside Fund .
