Joseph Anderwert

Joseph Anderwert (born February 26, 1767 in Münsterlingen , † February 14, 1841 in Frauenfeld ) was a Swiss politician .

After the death of his father (Johann Georg Anderwert) in 1794, Joseph Anderwert took over his offices as senior bailiff of the Münsterlingen monastery and as secretary of the court lordship in Thurgau . From 1798–1802, as a federalist, he was an influential member of Swiss councils (Grand Council, Legislative Council, Diet and Senate). From 1803, Anderwert was a member of the Small Council (Government Council) of the Canton of Thurgau.
