Kerio Technologies (Kerio for short) is a global provider of complete IT infrastructure solutions for communication, collaboration and security. In addition to its headquarters in San José (California) , the company, which was founded in 1997, has branches in the Czech Republic, the UK, Russia and Australia.
history
Kerio started the Internet market in 1997 with the distribution of WinRoute Pro, this software package belonged to Tiny Software until February 2002 and was further developed by Tiny Software .
In February 2002, Tiny Software completely handed over sales and development to Kerio.
Kerio became widely known through the Kerio Personal Firewall, version 2.1 of which was first published in March 2002 under the Kerio brand. Version 4 was released in November 2003. In December 2005, Kerio still sold Version 4 of the Personal Firewall to Sunbelt Software , which sold it on under the name Sunbelt Personal Firewall .
In January 2017 Kerio was from the GFI Group bought
