Kerry Zavagnin (born July 2, 1974 in Plymouth , Michigan ) is a retired American football player .
The midfielder played from 1997 to 1998 for the New York Metro Stars , now known as the New York Red Bulls. He then played for a year for the Lehigh Valley Steam in the A-League before moving to the Kansas City Wizards and ending his career there.
He has been an assistant coach at Sporting Kansas City since 2009 .
He was also a member of the USA national team for a long time and had 21 international matches on March 23, 2006, but was not part of the 2006 World Cup squad .
