Kesseltal
Kesseltal is a comprehensive term in geomorphology for a basin-like hollow form or elongated oval drainage-free valley forms in the following landscapes:
- as a polje in karst areas
- as a caldera in volcanic landscapes ( caldera ).
- as a cirque in the high mountains.
Kesseltal also stands for:
- the valley of the Kessel, a left tributary of the Danube near Donauwörth in Bavaria, see Kessel (Danube)
- Kesseltal, from 1943 to 1945 name of the municipality Kotlin in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland, see Kotlin (Greater Poland)
