Ketleyn Quadros
Ketleyn Lima Quadros (born October 1, 1987 in Brasilia ) is a Brazilian judoka . She won an Olympic bronze medal in 2008.
Athletic career
The 1.64 m Quadros fought until 2014 in the lightweight, the weight class up to 57 kilograms. In 2015 she switched to light middleweight (63 kilograms).
She won the bronze medal at the Pan American Championships in 2008. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, she was defeated in the round of 16 by the Dutchwoman Deborah Gravenstijn . With wins against the Spaniard Isabel Fernández , the Japanese Aiko Satō and the Australian Maria Pekli , Quadros secured the bronze medal. In 2010 Quadros won the South American Games, 2011 and 2012 at the South American Championships. In 2013 she won a bronze medal at the Pan American Championships. In July 2013 she won the Universiade in Kazan . At the Judo World Championships in 2013 she was eliminated in the round of 16, the Brazilian team won silver behind the Japanese, with Quadros only being used in the preliminary round. In 2014 she won silver at the South American Championships and bronze at the Pan American Championships.
After changing the weight class in 2015, her World Cup victory in Santiago in 2017 was her greatest success. At the Judo World Championships in 2017 she finished seventh, with the team she won the silver medal.
