Kevin Crossley-Holland
Kevin John William Crossley-Holland (born February 7, 1941 in Mursley , North Buckinghamshire ) is a British children's author, poet, translator and member of the Royal Society of Literature .
Crossley-Holland grew up in Whiteleaf, a small town in the Chilterns . He studied literature at the College St Edmund Hall of the University of Oxford .
Awards
Crossley-Holland received the Carnegie Medal in 1986 for his book Storm , in 2000 the Smarties Prize for Arthur - The Seeing Stone (German: Artus - Der magische Spiegel ), the Guardian Children's Fiction Award 2001 and the Tir na n-Og Award 2001.
