Kevin Hague (* 1960 in Aldershot , United Kingdom ) is a New Zealand politician with the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand .

Life

Hague was born in England. In the 1980s Hague campaigned against the apartheid regime in South Africa and was heavily involved in the campaign to boycott South Africa at that time. In 1989 he co- authored the book Honoring the Treaty: an introduction for Pakeha to the Treaty of Waitangi . Hague served on the New Zealand AIDS Aid Board from 1998 to 2003 . In 2008 Hague was elected as a member of the House of Representatives in the general election. Hague is openly gay and has one child.
