Kevin O'Connor (basketball official)

Kevin O'Connor (* in Bronx , New York City ) is an American basketball official currently serving as Senior Vice President for the Utah Jazz . Between 1999 and 2012 he was General Manager of Jazz and thus Frank Layden's successor . Among other things, he was involved in the commitment of Deron Williams in the 2005 NBA draft . He also distinguished himself through engagements with Carlos Boozer , Mehmet Okur , Gordon Hayward and Al Jefferson . In 2012 he passed his managerial position to Dennis Lindsey .

He attended Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island and has been appointed to the Monsignor Farrell Hall of Fame.
