Keyboards ( original spelling in capital letters ) is a music magazine that appears four times a year and has been published by MM-Musik-Media-Verlag in the Cologne branch since 1984.

The contents of keyboards are news, stories, tips, workshops, transcriptions and tests relating to keyboard instruments and various electronic musical instruments. In addition to the trade journal, the publisher operates a website that offers further information, downloads and film reports.

Marc Bohn has been editor-in-chief since 2018.

history

From 1984 to 2006 Keyboards appeared on a monthly basis and served the full range of electronic music. In 2006 the trade magazine received an offshoot with Sound & Recording . Since then, software solutions have been less of a priority for keyboards than hardware keyboards. The magazine was published every two months from 2006 to 2014. In 2006 the magazine Keyboards was merged with the magazine Funtasten , which appeared from 2005 to 2006, and was called Keyboards funtasten from 4/2006 to 1/2009 . From 2/2009 to 1/2010 Funtasten appeared as a sub-title. Keyboards has been published every three months since 2015 .
