Keys (spelling: KEYS) is a German specialist magazine for music production that has been published on a monthly basis since 1989. With issue 7/2014, the magazine has existed for 25 years.

On its website and on the DVD accompanying each issue , the magazine u. a. Audio software , audio, video and MIDI examples as well as a large selection of samples are available. Interviews with successful musicians, music producers and sound engineers are published in the magazine section. A large part of the booklet is occupied by tests on software, synthesizers , microphones , sample libraries and studio hardware as well as other products from the areas of music production and sound engineering . The following practical part includes workshops on various software sequencers and the production of electronic music (Techno, Eurodance, ...), as well as general sound engineering topics. The core topic of every issue is a big special (e.g. on the topic of sampling, record company, etc.), which can be seen on the cover page. There is also the option of posting your own ads.

In addition to twelve issues per year, KEYS also publishes special issues, which often represent a collection of past articles and in many cases offer full software versions on the enclosed DVD. Thematically related books at PPVMEDIEN also appear with the nickname “powered by KEYS”.
