Kharia is a South Munda language , which is spoken by the Kharia people mainly in the southwest of the Indian state of Jharkhand and the neighboring areas of the states of Chattisgarh and Orissa by around 280,000 people. It is mainly written using the Devanagari script.
Morphosyntax
Kharia is a mainly agglutinating language, the grammatical morphemes of which consist mainly of enclitics . Typologically striking is the (at least dialectal) lack of clear evidence for lexical categories such as nouns, verbs and adjectives.
