Khenpo Tsondru

Khenpo Tsöndrü ( Tib. Mkhan po brtson 'grus * 1920 in Golog ( mgo log ), † 1979 ) was a Tibetan monk scholar. His father was a monk in Sera Monastery in central Tibet and his family was a follower of the Gelug School. Khenpo Tsondru started his education at the age of seven. He studied in the Dzogchen Monastery in Eastern Tibet at the time of the 5th Dzogchen Rinpoche Thubten Chökyi Dorje . By practicing Mañjuśrī sādhana ( 'jam dpal smra seng ) of Karma Chagme , he is said to have become an expert in spelling, grammar, and poetry without having studied extensively.

His comments Norbui Melong ( nor bu'i me long . English Mirror of Gems ) and Tagrig ( rtags rigs . English Dialectical Syllogism ) are part of the Shedra - curriculum of the Nyingma -Schule.
