Khi Menh

Sadet Chaofa Jaya Khi Menh (Kimihiya or Kli, "Seventh Son"; * in the late 18th century in Vientiane ; † after 1840) was Maha Uparat (viceroy) of the Kingdom of Vientiane .

Khi Menh was the seventh son of King Anuvong (ruled 1805 to 1828) and was appointed viceroy by his father in 1805. He was later taken hostage to the court of Siam in Bangkok , where his uncle took his place in 1826. After the unsuccessful attempt to invade Siam, Khi Menh traveled with his father to Annam at the court of Hue between October 1827 and June 1828 . Most of his family members, including his parents, were tortured to death in Bangkok in 1829 and the Kingdom of Vientiane was placed under Siamese control. Around 1836 he was given refuge in Khamtong.

Khi Menh was married twice. First (before 1820) with Sadet Chao Nang Dhanakaeva (Thonkeo), a daughter of Viceroy Tissa, with whom he had a daughter: Sadet Chao Nang Anumara (Numan), who later became King Rama IV (ruled 1851–1868) in 1820 . married and died on October 29, 1906 in Bangkok; then (before 1840) with a daughter of Chao Mueang from Khamtong.
