Khia Edgerton
Khia Edgerton (stage name: K-Swift ; born October 19, 1978 in Baltimore , Maryland ; † July 21, 2008 there ) was an American DJ .
Life
Through her father, who had a passion for music, Khia Edgerton was able to gain first experience in the music industry. She started DJing at the age of 11 and was Baltimore's only female DJ until before her death. In her appearances and in her radio show on 92Q , the artist , also known as Club Queen, was one of the most important multipliers of Baltimore Club Music , a special mixture of house and hip-hop .
On July 21, 2008, she died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore from the effects of a head injury that she sustained after a party while jumping in the swimming pool in the garden of her home.
