Kicksider was a youth magazine mainly devoted to martial arts , with a focus on kickboxing .

In contrast to other martial arts magazines, Kicksider dealt not only with Asian martial arts, but also with western disciplines such as boxing and K-1 kickboxing. The magazine was published from 1991 to 1996 by the Deubner sports publisher. From 1996 to 1998 it appeared under the company PVM Publishing Verlag GmbH, Darmstadt . From 1991 to 1993 the magazine appeared under the title Kicksider at irregular intervals. In September 1993 the title was changed to "KICK - Illustrated Martial Arts" and appeared every two months. In February 1998 the title was discontinued. The cover mostly adorned well-known martial arts masters, film actors, world champions in kickboxing or other top athletes such as B. Bruce Lee , Don Wilson and Michael Kuhr .

The magazine consistently contained interviews with world champions and famous action actors as well as insights into the private life and training of the " stars ".

Kicksider reached a total circulation of 28,000 (status: 3/1996, source: PVM).
