History and architecture

New building, 2016

The building was the residential building of a so-called three-lingual estate. It was rebuilt on the street in 1854 after the old Dreilingerhaus was demolished in the same year. The barrel vaulted cellar of the old house in the courtyard was preserved. It is known that the property was affected by a major fire on May 18, 1750, which destroyed parts of the village of Westerhüsen.

On the northwest side of the courtyard there was a stable built in 1864, which was expanded in 1891. In 1885 a new stable was built in the front east of the house.

Before 1792, the farm belonged to Johann Andreas Stöffler, the owner of what later became the Weibezahl farm , who had taken it over from his father Johann Stoeffler. In 1792 it was taken over by Johann Gottfried Stöffler, who was mayor of Westerhüsens from 1820, and was succeeded as owner in 1827 by Johann Wilhelm Christoph Stöffler. The relationship with the Weibezahl farm remained intact. In 1852 it became the home of master blacksmith Ludwig Schoppe until the lathe operator Karl Schoppe took it over in 1891.

At least in the 1990s, the house was listed in the local monument register under registration number 094 17319. However, it was then torn down around the turn of the millennium and has not been listed as a monument at least since 2009 . The area was built on with new houses.
