Box (unit)
The box was a German piece measure. The measure was used in the sea fish trade . In Lübeck it was the Schullen-Kiepe or Schollenkiepe.
- In Lübeck 1 box = 30 stairs = 600 pieces of small clods (Schullen)
- In Lübeck 1 box = 30 stairs = 300 pieces of large clods
- 6 boxes = 1 pack of large clods
- 12 boxes = 1 pack of small and medium-sized clods
- The pack of floes was 14 to 15 feet in length; Width and height.
- Other places 1 box = 3 stairs = 60 pieces
