The gravel pit Efferen (also Efferener Baggerloch and Efferener Lido ) is a quarry pond in Hürther district Efferen . It is a protected biotope according to Section 62 of the Landscape Act of North Rhine-Westphalia .
description
The former gravel pit is located between the student village in Efferen and the railway line on the left bank of the Rhine . The water surface has a diameter of approx. 200 meters and is triangular. Although bathing is prohibited there, the lake is populated by bathers in summer. The lake is part of the conservation area, Efferen.
