Muggabullin Swamp

The Muggabullin Swamp is a salt marsh in the west of the Australian state of Western Australia .

The swamp lies in the course of the Hope River between Lake Annean and the mouth of the river in the Yalgar River at approx. 420  m . The city of Meekatharra is 39 km east of the swamp.

Three pools of the Hope River belong to this swamp, the Berrin Pool (13 ha, 424  m ), the Kilekilegunna Pool Coordinates: 26 ° 14 ′ 2 ″  S , 118 ° 2 ′ 44 ″  E (2 ha, 418  m ) and the Yalgar pool (5 ha, 413  m ). In the latter is the confluence of the Hope River with the Yalgar River. The settlement of Belele is located on the western edge of the approx. 60 km long and 8 km wide swamp .
