Kilian Vogler (* around 1516 ; † 1585 in Tübingen ) was a German philosopher, lawyer and court judge as well as professor and rector at the University of Tübingen.

Life

Kilian Vogler was at the University of Tübingen Dr. iur. doctorate and was there in 1541 professor of ethics and 1553–1585 professor of law. He was Württemberg councilor and court judge as well as 1556/57, 1562, 1566, 1570, 1575, 1579/80 rector at the University of Tübingen. His portrait therefore hangs in the professors' gallery in Tübingen . In the picture painted by Philipp Gretter around 1604 , he is wearing a so-called crab cloak from around 1550–1560.
