Kilroy, Kilroy is a novel (1989) by the Danish writer Ib Michael .

The theme is the search for an identity of a man suffering from amnesia . The first words he sees when he wakes up are " Kilroy was here ", so he first calls himself Kilroy and then, because the first name must also be followed by a surname, Kilroy, Kilroy . The lost identity and his lack of fearful experiences open up opportunities for him to plunge into various adventures without fear. Michael was awarded the Weekendavisens litteraturpris for his work in 1989 by readers of the Danish weekly newspaper Weekendavisen .
