Weekendavisens litteraturpris
Weekendavisens litteraturpris is a literature and reader award from the Danish weekly newspaper Weekendavisen . The prize was launched in 1980 by the then culture editor Flemming Behrendt to honor Danish-language books from non-fiction and fine literature . The premium of the prize donated by the Berlingske Fund has increased over the years from DKK 5,000 to DKK 100,000 today. Ten books are nominated by the literary editors and put to a vote among the readers. The award winner is announced every year at the end of January.
