- September 2nd : During a fire in the Duchess Anna Amalia Library in Weimar / Thuringia, thousands of books were damaged by fire, smoke and extinguishing water on the night of September 3rd. The library contains German original literature from the period 1750 and 1850 as well as numerous special collections
