Brunhilde Baur (born March 16, 1935 in Mannheim ; † October 6, 2004 in Karlsruhe ) was a German publisher .

Together with her husband, Hans W. Baur, Baur ran the Badische Neue Nachrichten (BNN) in Karlsruhe , first as managing director and then as publisher .

In 1994, the publishers transferred large shares in the publishing group to a foundation that supports the SOS Children's Villages .

Baur supported donation events and was considered the good heart of the BNN . She was particularly committed to helping children and young mothers and initiated the establishment of the Brunhilde Baur House named after her and financed by the Wilhelm Baur Foundation, an institution for women and children in need, which was inaugurated in 2006.

In 1995, Baur was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for her social commitment .
