Alienation can allude to various things, such as:
- the alienation effect (V-effect) in the literature , especially with Bertolt Brecht
- the Ostranenie , an alienation effect in Russian formalism
- the method of constructive realism ( philosophy of science ); a translation of formal sentences of a disciplinary scientific context into other contexts in order to approach an understanding of the (implicit) requirements of a science
- the alienation of computer graphics or digitized photos in electronic image processing , e.g. B. through tonal value separation , toning , softening , distortion, compressing, changing the color saturation as well as various filters and filter macros or graphic filters (thousands of which are available e.g. as so-called plug-ins ); more limited (and usually more complex) options for this are also available in classic photography
- the alienation of audio material ( tones , noises ) in the broadest sense in the recording studio through electronic measures (e.g. flanger , wah-wah , ring modulator , (artificial) reverb or echo , tremolo , pitching , etc.); Here, too, almost every mediocre computer program offers more options than a whole (possibly extremely expensive) equipment pool 15 years ago
A distinction is the comparison of the over- and alienation .
