Kim Duddy

Kim Duddy (born September 16, 1957 Columbus, Ohio ) is a choreographer and director .

Life

Duddy studied classical ballet at the Bud Kerwin's Theater of Ballet and with Luigi and Rhett Denis in New York.

As a 20-year-old she showed her own choreographies in Brazil, Japan, France and Venezuela, among others. During her time on Broadway (1976 to 1987) she worked with Bob Fosse , among others , whose style was formative for her. She has starred in Pippin , A Chorus Line (musical) , Best Little Whore House In Texas, and other productions.

In 1987 she moved to Vienna for the musical Cats and was also responsible for the choreography of other productions. She directed the ballet of the Volksoper Vienna for three years .

In 2006 her first musical Carmen Cubana - A Latin Pop Opera premiered, in which she also directed and took over the choreography. Her second musical Rockville followed in 2009 .
