Kimberly Derrick (born April 28, 1985 in Blytheville ) is an American short tracker and inline speed skater .

Derrick started inline skating at the age of seven in 1992 and was first American champion over 500 m outdoor in 1999. In total, she achieved thirteen national titles by 2001. In that year she also achieved four world championship titles, as well as one silver and one bronze medal each. A year later, in 2002, she won a silver medal before moving to the short track. There she started in the World Cup for the first time at the end of September 2005 , but where she did not get beyond the prelims. In the other World Cup appearances in the 2005/06 season, Derrick finished her race in the semifinals at the latest. For this she qualified for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . Here she started over 1000 m, but was disqualified in the quarterfinals. At the 2006 World Cup , she made it to the 1500 m semi-finals.

The 2006/07 World Cup was also not very successful for Derrick , where she achieved tenth place over 1000 m as her best result. With the relay, she also managed a third place, but in a race in which the Asians were not at the start. In the 1000 m discipline World Cup, she placed a good fifth place, with the relay she was also third overall. At the 2007 World Cup , she again missed every final. In the next 2007/08 season , Derrick was only able to achieve her best result at the end of the last World Cup with a fifth place over 1000 m. In addition, you get two third places with the relay. In the World Cup 2008/09 she started with her first individual podium, a third place in the 1000 m distance. Even over 1500 m, she just missed the podium as fourth. At the last World Cup of the season, she achieved her first World Cup victory over 1000 m. In the 1000 m discipline world cup she finished third. At the team world championships in Heerenveen , she and her teammates won bronze. In the 2009/10 season she was unable to reach the podium in any single race, but placed second with the relay twice. Derrick took part in the Olympic Games in Vancouver . Over 1000 m and 1500 m she was eliminated in the preliminary run, with the relay she won the bronze medal, although she was only used in the preliminary run, but not in the final. She also won bronze in the relay at the World Championships in Sofia . After the games, Derrick initially took a break from the short track. She only started again in the last two World Cup races in the 2011/12 season , but her best result was a quarter-finals over 1000 m.
