The children's railway Kratowo ( Russian Малая Московская железная дорога Malaja Moskowskaja schelesnaja doroga ) is a narrow-gauge park railway in Moscow . The line opened on May 2, 1937 as one of the many pioneer railroads in the Soviet Union and is still in operation today.
Route
The line with a track width of 750 mm has a length of 4.962 km. She has three stations Junost ( Юность ) Schkolnaja ( Школьная ) and Pionerskaya ( Пионерская ) with a reversing triangle in the district Kratowo . There used to be a turning loop at Junost station to turn the steam locomotives, but this was taken out of service due to today's diesel operation.

The following diesel locomotives are used on the route:
- Diesel locomotive of the SŽD series ТУ2 - № 129 (modern rebuilt) and № 241 (original condition)
- Diesel locomotive of the RŽD series ТУ10 - № TU10-032 (since April 2018)
The following steam and diesel locomotives were previously operated on the route:
- Steam locomotive ВЛ-1 ( Orenstein & Koppel , out of service)
- Steam locomotive ИС-1 (factory type 63/65, out of service)
- Diesel locomotive of the SŽD series ТУ7 - № 2728 and № 2729 (out of order)
- Diesel locomotive of the SŽD series ТУ2 - № 078 (until 2018, modernized)
More vehicles
Today there are five type 20.0015 and one type 20.0016 (HQ) passenger cars. In addition, there used to be three wooden passenger cars, one Pafawag car and eight PV51 cars.
