Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI medical) was a company headquartered in San Antonio , Texas ( United States ) that manufactured and sold medical devices. The company was best known for the production and sale of devices for vacuum therapy . Until 2012, hospital beds and pressure ulcer mattresses were also manufactured and distributed. The bedsore storage systems segment was sold to ArjoHuntleigh after 2012 . KCI medical Inc. was integrated into the Acelity Group in 2013. All former brand names of KCI medical are only used under the name Acelity. No sales figures have been published since KCI medical was integrated into Acelity.
