King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital
The King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital (abbreviated to KCMH , in Thai : โรง พยาบาล จุฬาลงกรณ์ , German "Chulalongkorn Hospital") is a large hospital in Bangkok , the capital of Thailand .
history
The hospital is operated by the Thai Red Cross (Thai สภากาชาดไทย ). The hospital was inaugurated by King Vajiravudh on May 30, 1914 , and named after his father, King Chulalongkorn . It was funded by the king and his family members.
General
The hospital with over 1500 beds today is one of the largest hospitals in Thailand. The hospital works closely with Chulalongkorn University as a teaching hospital and trains nursing staff in its own school.
