The King Range is a mountain range about 22 km long and 8 km wide in the Concord Mountains in the north-west of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the west it borders on the Rawle Glacier and the Leitch Massif , in the northwest on the Black Glacier and in the northeast and in the east on the origin of the Lillie Glacier .

The range was mapped through surveys of the United States Geological Survey and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1964 after Commander James P. King of the US Navy, weather service officer on activities in the operation Deep Freeze between 1962 and 1964.
