The Kinner C-5 is an American five-cylinder star engine from the 1930s for general aviation .
construction and development
The C-5 is a further development of the R-5 with increased performance and larger dimensions. The main changes were an enlargement of the bore from 128 mm to 143 mm and an extension of the stroke from 140 mm to 145 mm. This resulted in an increase in displacement from 8.85 liters to 11.71 liters. The military designation of the engine was R-720.
