Kinoshita Mokutaro
Kinoshita Mokutarō ( Japanese 木 下 杢 太郎 , real name: Ōta Masao ( 太 田 正雄 ); born August 1, 1885 in Izu (Shizuoka) ; † October 15, 1945 ) was a Japanese writer , doctor and leprosy researcher .
The trained dermatologist toured China and Manchuria in 1916 and was awarded the French Légion d'honneur for his dermatological research . He published poems in poetry magazines such as Subaru and Okujō Teien . His works include the volume of poems Shokugo no uta and the play Irumiya somemonoten . A twelve-volume complete edition of his works was published between 1948 and 1951 ( Kinoshita Mokutarō zenshū ).
He taught at Tokyo University .
