The kiosk on Holstentorplatz in Lübeck (Holstentorplatz 7) is a listed shop that has been operated as a snack stand since 2017.

The kiosk is located next to the city's landmark, the Holsten Gate . In the immediate vicinity are other listed buildings such as the salt store and the Holstentorhalle . The kiosk was built from brick in the 1950s. Structural features are the hexagonal floor plan and the round flat roof.

The building belongs to the Hanseatic City of Lübeck. It was leased and should be demolished due to structural defects. The city was waiting for the lease to expire in October 2016. After the last tenant went bankrupt in October 2015, the demolition should be brought forward. There were no plans to redesign the area. The last owner had been selling postcards, cigarettes, sweets and magazines in the kiosk since 2000.

The kiosk was not torn down because the monument protection authority placed the building under protection shortly before the scheduled date.

A Lübeck entrepreneur from the textile industry leased the building from the city of Lübeck with a long-term contract. In consultation with the preservation authorities, he had it extensively rebuilt. The cost was 130,000 euros, twice as much as estimated. In July 2017, the entrepreneur and his family opened the kiosk as a snack stand. Hot dogs and other products from the region are on offer .
