history

A church had existed on this site since 1784, which in turn was built on the site of a former wooden church that had been built there in May 1727. The church tower was built in 1836.

In 1894, according to the plans of the architect Ștefan Toth, construction began on today's church, which is 24.41 m long and 7.70 m wide. The church tower is in a baroque style. The wall painting inside the church was done by Iulian Toader from Arad , and the sculptures and woodwork by Trajan Novac .

The church was consecrated on November 6, 1927. It is a simple hall building with a retracted facade tower, the exterior design of which is reminiscent of the Banat country churches. Only the design of the interior with a barrel vault and an apse that is the same width as the nave is different.

In 1989 the church was renovated.
