The Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God in Jasenewo ( Russian Храм Покрова́ Пресвято́й Богоро́дицы в Я́сеневе ) is a Russian Orthodox church of the Moscow eparchy located in the Moscow district of Jassenewo in the southwestern administrative district of Moscow.

Before this church was built, there were only two smaller churches in the most populous district of Jassenewo - the Church of Peter and Paul and the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God from Kazan in Uskoye . As early as 2001 it was decided to build a new large church. This should be subordinated to the Patronage of the Virgin Mary's Protection and Intercession and dedicated in a special way to the memory of Russian soldiers. The construction of the church began on September 21, 2008 with a procession of the cross . On June 30, 2009, the foundation stone was laid by Patriarch Kyrill I. The Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God was built in the Byzantine building tradition of the 11th to 12th centuries. It is a five - headed cross- domed church , the main dome of which is gold-plated. Its height with the cross is 36 meters. Two western towers serve as bell towers. The ringing consists of 12 bells, the largest weighs 4500 kg. The interior walls of the church are lined with mosaics . The total area of ​​the mosaics is approximately 2500 square meters. The church has space for 800 worshipers.
