The Southwest Administrative District ( Russian Юго-Западный административный округ / Yugo-Sapadny administratiwny okrug ) is one of the twelve administrative districts of the Russian capital Moscow .

The southwestern administrative district is located on the southwestern edge of the urban area of Moscow.

The southwestern administrative district contains 12 districts. More than 1 million people live in the district. Bitza Park , one of the largest urban forests in the Russian capital, borders the districts of Jassenewo and Tjoply Stan .
In this district, on the border with the neighboring western administrative district on Lenin Prospect (which represents the city district boundary ) 95A, the legal and consular department of the German embassy is located , currently in provisional accommodation on the premises of the former GDR embassy and trade agency.
