Konkowo
Konkowo ( Russian Конько́во ) is a district of Moscow in the southwestern administrative district . The population on January 1, 2010 was around 140,000.
Konkowo borders on the districts of Tjoply Stan , Jassenewo , Tscherjomuschki and Obruchewski . The Bitza-Park adjoins the district to the southeast . Since Konkowo is located in the area of the so-called Tjoply-Stan heights, it is one of the highest places in Moscow with a maximum height of around 250 m .
The current district was formed in 1991 with the last Moscow regional reform and is located on the site of the former villages of Troitskoje-Konkowo, Sergijewskoje-Konkowo and Beljajewo.
Konkowo has a connection to the Moscow Metro with the stations Beljajewo and Konkowo .
