Church district Mittelbaden

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The former Protestant church district of Mittelbaden (also Prelature Mittelbaden and Sprengel Mittelbaden ) was one of three prelatures of the Evangelical Church in Baden from 1969 to 2003 . As an ecclesiastical organizational unit, it comprised the central part of the regional church. The church district of Central Baden was dissolved in the name of austerity measures and, from 2004, it was divided between the two other church districts of North Baden and South Baden . Until 1969 there were only these two prelate positions in the regional church. The seat of the church district of Mittelbaden was Ettlingen .
